South West Florida Real Estate News-North Port-Port Charlotte-Venice-Englewood-Punta Gorda

Pulse of home sales strengthens

In my last market report I talked about the number of showings increasing. I went on to explain that I think we will see a change (upturn) in the market in the upcoming months.

This morning there was an article stating exactly that!

The real estate headline this morning read-

Home sales take a modest upturn

(this article may only be available for a limited time through this link)

The other local paper, their headline reads-

Pulse of home sales strengthens

The article goes on to say that Charlotte County is the only county in Florida that showed signs of recovery.

The Charlotte county real estate market achieved a not-shabby 19 percent bounce from December to December. Sales were up 24 percent when compared with November sales.

For December, it appears that the Sarasota-Bradenton area showed a degree of recovery comparable to what was happening in Charlotte. Sales were only down seven percent.

We think things are looking up in Sarasota and Charlotte counties!

We've noticed a pickup in Pinellas County, too. Started mid-December, increased further in January.
