Website masterpiece…or maybe not

While browsing through some of the websites of my fellow associates I realized how little people know about design. Now I’m not saying my site is the best thing since sliced bread but…I found a site that on the front page, each group of words was highlighted by different colors of neon (pink, yellow, green, blue, etc). UGGGGGGGGGHHH…Talk about hard to read. To make matters worse as you scrolled down the page the type font got larger and larger and larger. Maybe they thought your sight would get worse as you read each group of neon words. I’m not sure. So what makes a good site? Neon highlighted large words, good pictures, great content, etc?

I like the sites to fun and easy to navigate.  We have stealth sites with nothing about us on the splash page and those targeted sites for specific markets, plus our fun site which only took a year to get permission from Hasbro to put up on the web.  Must admit I do like the simplicity of REal Pro Systems.

Not a big fan of Flash sites...they take too long to load!
